Money!

For people preparing for the new Core Exam, this book is worth its weight in gold. This was the only thing I read regarding MRI prior to the Pilot exam (including not reading the RSNA Modules) and it covered nearly every question on the test! I did great on the physics mostly because of this book. It does take some time to get through the whole book, but you won't regret it! This book will have a HUGE impact on your score. I will be reading it cover-to-cover again before the real exam. It is also very well written and much easier to understand than some other MRI books. It is also very clinically applicable rather than heavy on formulas and numbers and that garbage. I think you will find it actually makes sense!

I received an initial copy of this book which was unreadable. The quality of the images, like another reviewer mentioned, was atrocious. Some images were completely black. Other images looked as though they were from the end of a printer cartridge. The paper was single ply toilet paper thin. I returned the initial copy, hoping this was a fluke. The second copy had the exact same problem, except worse.
Amazon was great about the returns. However, either the publisher is dropping the ball on printing a quality book, or Amazon was sold a rogue batch of books from an unreliable distributor. Either way, if you are not buying an old copy, you run the risk of a similar scenario.

This is a fine review of clinical MRI and MRI physics

This is a fine review of clinical MRI and MRI physics, and was recommended by a few people. It is well written and the case examples are quite good. It is way too detailed for a board review text, so I don't recommend it for cramming. My copy didn't suffer the same printing quality issues that others complain about, the font is very small and paper is quite thin. This is one of those books that would be better in electronic format. Anyhow, I'll be keeping it in my reference library.
