About the Author
Virginia Ferrari is a former adjunct instructor at Solano Community College in Fairfield, California, where she taught in the Career Technical Education division. Her courses included medical front-office programs, records management, medical coding, and small business topics. Previously, she managed extended services for one of the fastest-growing physician's networks in the San Francisco Bay area, overseeing medical records training, conversion, and implementation. While there, she also served on the Best Practices and Customer Satisfaction committees, a Pilot Project for Risk Adjust Coding, and the Team Up for Health collaborative for diabetes self-management education. Worst book ever.

Thee worst school book I have ever used. Errors through out. Optum support doesn't help. When I bought the book for class I thought the previous reviewers must be daft and can't figure this book out. Nope, this book is terrible and so is the support. If your teacher picked this book to teach your class an EHR program... well, good luck, lol! I spend more time trying to figure out what they want from me than I do actually learning the system. I try to use Optum on 3 different PC's (one laptop and 2 PC's), I clear my caches, I use IE, Safari and Chrome to try to get Optum functioning as it should. I have to sign in and sign out repeatedly to try to fix errors. I contact Optum support regularly, and they have solved my problems a total of ZERO times. They just tell me to use a different browser. Clear caches or try a different PC. How about make a system that works!!!!

It was what I expected, but it was the wrong book, so I had to return it. Good price for a used book, that was still completely usable for the purposes necessary. I would recommend.
