Having fun and losing weight with the Parisian Diet

This book has some innovative approaches to dieting that you won't find in other books. I came away with several ideas on how to incorporate some of my favorite foods into a healthier eating plan, and have lost several pounds so far in just a few weeks. I would recommend this plan for people like me who like bread,cheese, yogurt and fruit, and have not been able to stick with diet plans that focus only on protein and veggies.
The one criticism that I would give to this book and most diet books for that matter, is that they don't spend enough time describing maintenance eating plans.

I felt like I was reading a diet book from the 80s

I felt like I was reading a diet book from the 80s. No French person worth their sel would recommend stevia or Nutrasweet. Or nonfat dairy products! (Sacre blue!) And strangely my "Right Weight" calculated 20 pounds higher than I have ever been. (Or want to go frankly) my copy is for sale cheap.

Easy to follow and nutritious

I started with the cafe plan. I made a bunch of soups and stored them in sealed glass tuperware with name tags. The plan allows for you to switch the meals in a day. so on days where i am to have fish for lunch and soup for dinner, i switched them for convenience, staying in the same caloric intake for that day. I just started so i'll post after i complete the cafe plan. Wish me luck:-)
THIS IS AN UPDATE - July 11
I has been following the plan and the philosophy since March. I've lost 25 lbs and I keep losing. I followed the plan through all the stages and then I realised I learned some important lessons on how to eat. Mainly portion control, fresh food and only 3 meals a day. I will confess I don't eat any processed foods, use any products with ingredients I can't pronounce or eat 'man made carbs', coincidently my stomach doesn't blow up anymore after eating. Sticking to what I learned I am able to eat what I like but in moderation using portion control. I didn't exercise, because I really don't like exercise plans but I keep active.
While using this book, I found that I love to cook now and look up new recipies weekly online. I was the typical yoyo dieter, buying into all the weight loss program hype. Going from one 'latest-and-greatest' diet plan to the next, meanwhile gaining weight. I used to avoid foods the media would deem 'fattening', cheeses, creams, oils etc. now I don't buy into the hype, I just use my common sense and the lessons I learned. I don't have fear about food any more or worry if it could put pounds on me. I usually put on about 5 lbs when I go on vacation, this year was the first time I ever came back from a vacation where I lost 2 lbs!
I have about 17 lbs to go but I'm taking it slow and losing about 1-2 lbs a week - Enjoying my food and learning new recipies.
