Excellent - all English field people should buy it

Very well written and very well organized. Reader-response bleeds into so many aspects of writing, reading and teaching - so much so that sometimes it isn't really explained explicitly; it is sometimes taken for granted. Beach does a thorough but accessible job of explaining Reader-response theory.
